From Little Rock we head deep into the heart of Texas as we make our way to San Antonio for three nights. While in San Antonio our Riverwalk hotel is just steps away from the heartbeat of the city. Explore the famous urban waterway, as you dine, shop, and stroll to see the highlights of San Antonio. Tucked quietly below street level and only steps from the Alamo, the Riverwalk provides a serene and pleasant way to navigate the city. Of course, no trip to San Antonio is complete without a visit to the historical Alamo-with a story bigger than Texas, the Alamo gives visitors a unique opportunity to discover the legend and battle that took place within its walls. Our guided tour of San Antonio will take us to other treasures such as the San Fernando Cathedral-the oldest standing church in Texas, and Market Square or the "El Mercado-" the largest Mexican Market in the United States. El Mercado boasts more than 100 locally owned shops, and allows guests to enjoy the flavors of old Mexico and find authentic Talavera pottery. You can even indulge in one of San Antonio’s most delicious traditions- homemade tamales! There is much to be discovered in San Antonio-but the best is seen from our River cruise, where twinkling lights surround us, and the bustling downtown passes by. The flavors and colors of San Antonio at Christmastime are at the heart of Christmas in the South! That’s not all though, while in San Antonio we will visit the jaw-dropping Natural Bridge Caverns. Natural Bridge Caverns is one of the world’s premier show caverns. Discovered in 1960 by local cavers, this family owned and operated natural wonder is the largest cavern in Texas. Descend into stunning underground caverns, and be naturally amazed! Then, our final night in San Antonio takes us to the Texas Hill Country to the charming town of Gruene, TX, where you can experience the wonder of Christmas as you stroll the historic downtown. With Texas-sized charm in a small Hill Country town, the Christmas cheer sparkles on every corner. While in Gruene dinner will be included at a Texas staple, The Gristmill, a world-renowned historic restaurant nestled in the Hill Country.

Finally, celebrate the magic of Christmas in Grapevine, the Christmas Capital of Texas! Our stay in Grapevine includes time on Historic Downtown Main Street- where you can marvel at the holiday lighting while checking off your holiday shopping list with all the charming gifts local stores have to offer. With millions of lights strung, and enormous decorations and animated characters the Christmas Capitol of Texas comes to life!
